Quick & Easy Way to Skip

Save time and money by skipping your loan payment online without having to drive to your local branch. Skip-A-Pay allows you to skip your Alabama Credit Union auto or consumer loan payment every six months, so you can keep the cash for other goals. 

You're eligible to skip your auto or consumer loan payment if: 

  • Your loan must have been open for at least 6 months, and you must have made at least 6 payments.

  • Have not skipped more than two payments or deferred on the loan in the past 12 months.

  • Your loan, checking, and savings accounts are in good standing

  • Your loan is less than 45 days past due at the time of your request.

  • Your loan has not been delinquent within the past 12 months

A deferral fee of $35 will be applied to each skipped loan payment.

Disclosure

To qualify for this offer, your Alabama Credit Union membership must be in good standing. Your loan must be open for at least six months, and you must have made at least 6 payments. You must not have skipped more than two payments or deferred on the loan in the past 12 months. Your loan must be less than 45 days past due when you request Skip-a-Pay and must not been delinquent in the last 12 months.

This offer is exclusive for auto loans, RV loans, motorcycle loans, personal loans, and shared secured loans. Mortgage loans, home equity loans, and credit card loans are not eligible for payment deferment. Loans that received a hardship deferment within the past year, have had Credit Protection Insurance (CPI) added, or have been modified due to financial hardship within the past 12 months are not eligible for Skip-a-Pay.

A $35 deferral fee will apply. If you skip your loan payment, interest will continue to accrue on your loan, and the term will be extended. If applicable, skipping your auto loan payment may affect guaranteed asset protection (GAP) payout. Loans with collateral protection insurance do not qualify for Skip-a-Pay.

Alabama Credit Union is NOT responsible for adjusting the member’s payment schedule. The member is responsible for rescheduling the dates for all ACH and other automatic bill payments that they have set. Other restrictions may apply.
